Enclosure SW of Minto hills. Part of a flat plain is isolated by three concentric circular ditches of approximately 90° of arc and the natural cliff of a small stream. The enclosure does not appear to have an entrance. The site is approximately 1.6Km from the river Teviot. It is hard to imagine that this site is was intended for defence, as it is on flat land overlooked by higher ground, and the cliff is neither steep or high. The location of the site has obviously been selected to be adjacent to the stream or cliff, as there are better sites for a more conventional enclosure in the immediate vicinity. Were the ditches flooded by the stream ? Part of a flat plain is isolated by three concentric circular ditches of approximately 90° of arc and the natural cliff of a small stream.
